About The City

 

Khanpur has two main locations: one is a city in the Rahim Yar Khan District of Punjab, known for its cotton, sugarcane, and orange cultivation; the other is a city in the Haripur District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, famous for the Khanpur Dam on the Haro River, which is a hub for water supply, tourism, and recreation activities like boating, paragliding, and rock climbing. The Punjab location is also called Khanpur Katora, and the dam location offers access to historical sites like the Bhamala Buddhist Complex.
